Every account starts on Free: unlimited non-coding attempts, ten active examinations, your whole team, no card. Need running code? Usage-Based takes a card when you start it and gives you 200 free attempts a month, coding included — then $0.04 per non-coding attempt and $1.50 per coding attempt. Team is $99 a month or $990 a year for 3,000 attempts a month (a coding attempt counts as 15), co-grading and your branding.
All prices in USD. Sales tax is added where required by law. Integrity signals are in every plan, including Free; running code from Usage-Based; your logo and colors from Team. Prices cover your whole organization — there is no charge per member.

Free has no running code and ten active examinations, and needs no card. Usage-Based takes a card when it starts, includes the first 200 attempts each month free, is invoiced monthly in arrears with a $5 minimum in any month you are billed, and has a spend cap you set (default $200 — new attempts pause at the cap). On Team a non-coding attempt counts as one and a coding attempt as 15; unused attempts expire at month end. Prices in USD before tax.
A completed attempt: an examinee submitted, or their timer ran out and the exam was submitted for them. Attempts that are started and abandoned are never billed. A non-coding attempt is any exam without a question that runs code; a coding attempt is one that does.
The first 200 completed attempts each calendar month are free, coding included; a payment card is required when you start the plan. After that a non-coding attempt is $0.04 and a coding attempt $1.50, invoiced monthly in arrears with a $5 minimum in any month you are billed (a month with no billable attempts costs nothing). The estimator below shows when Team costs less.
Yes. Every Usage-Based account has a monthly spend cap you set yourself (the default is $200). When the cap is reached, new attempts pause until the month resets or you raise it; attempts already in progress finish and are billed.
We retry the card every three days, three times, and email you before each retry. If the last one fails, Assessment pauses — you can still sign in, update your card and pay — and resumes the moment the invoice clears.
Team includes 3,000 attempts a month, and a coding attempt counts as 15 — so 3,000 non-coding attempts, 200 coding attempts, or any mix (your invoice calls these units credits). Unused attempts expire at the end of the month and do not carry over. On monthly Team each unit beyond the allowance is $0.03 (so $0.45 for a coding attempt), billed with the next invoice. On yearly Team there is no overage charge — new attempts pause until the next month once the allowance is spent, which keeps the bill predictable; you can switch to monthly at any time.
Cancel any time from the billing page; access continues to the end of the paid period. You can change plan once every 30 days — changes are prorated and take effect immediately — and cancelling for the next period is always possible.
Yes, $5. A month with no billable attempts costs nothing; a month with billable attempts is invoiced at least $5, so a couple of attempts past the free 200 do not produce a 12-cent invoice. Nothing carries over between months.
Unlimited non-coding attempts, ten active examinations, your whole team and unlimited invitation e-mails, with no card and no time limit. Running code, co-grading and your branding are on the paid plans, which take a payment card when they start — Usage-Based still gives you 200 free attempts a month, coding included, before anything is billed.
Examinee answers, code and integrity signals are stored in the United States (AWS us-east-2). Nothing is recorded but the answers and the signals — no camera, no biometrics — and code runs in an isolated sandbox with no network access that only your organization can see. Exam data is kept for 24 months by default and you can shorten that in Assessment settings; support conversations are kept for two years. Integrity signals are evidence for a person to review, never an automatic verdict.
